About Us

Founded in January 1987, J&L Transportation began with a vision to provide dependable, efficient, and customer-focused transportation services. Established in Phoenix, Arizona, the company built its foundation on hard work, industry expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Co-founder Michael H. Jimenez brought extensive hands-on experience to the business, having worked in the trucking industry since 1972 as a driver, mechanic, and business owner. His understanding of transportation operations, combined with a commitment to honest business practices, helped establish J&L as a respected name in the industry.

Over the decades, J&L Transportation has grown into an established provider of intermodal transportation, drayage, and dedicated trucking services. Through responsible growth, experienced leadership, and long-standing customer relationships, the company has expanded its reach throughout Arizona and the western United States, with service capabilities extending into Mexico.

Throughout its history, J&L has remained committed to the principles that shaped its beginnings: safety, integrity, reliability, and exceptional customer service. These values continue to guide daily operations, from maintaining equipment and supporting drivers to ensuring that customers receive the dependable transportation solutions their businesses require.

As J&L Transportation approaches its 40th anniversary, the company remains proud of its history and focused on its future. While the transportation industry continues to evolve, J&L’s commitment to its customers, employees, and the communities it serves remains unchanged.

Today, J&L Transportation continues to serve as a trusted transportation and logistics provider, delivering dependable freight solutions throughout Arizona and the western United States. With nearly four decades of industry experience, we combine operational expertise, a company-owned fleet, and dedicated personnel to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
